Tella is a free audio guide for any place on Earth. Tap a place on the map, or simply start walking, and hear what happened there — read aloud, in your language. A city you have never seen before starts to feel like one you know.
Pan anywhere in the world and tap a place. Your browser reads its story aloud. No account, nothing to install. A place nobody has asked about yet takes a few seconds.
The Android app does it without the tapping: it follows you on foot or behind the wheel and narrates what you pass, place after place, with the screen off.

No account, no cookies, no analytics. The point you are looking at is sent to our server to find what is nearby; the search box asks Photon; map tiles come from OpenStreetMap, and satellite imagery from Esri if you switch it on. The voice is your own browser's and never leaves it. Opening this panel loads the video's preview picture from YouTube — the video itself plays only when you press it.
